Anyone got any fun plans for Halloween? Me, I'm doing nothin'. Halloween is pretty boring around here. We don't even get any kiddies come around for trick or treating because our house is in an out-of-the-way location, on a street with no street lights, so it's dark, and probably seems a little too scary for the kids. Which you'd think would be an ideal setting for Halloween, but no such luck. The first year we moved here, I bought all kinds of candies and not one kid showed up. It was sort of a let down since where we used to live closer to the city we'd get around 150 treaters. Our dog, Kimo, loved Halloween night. He'd sit watching out the window, and when the door bell rang, he'd rush to the door to see the kids. You'd think he'd be spooked by the all the kids in their costumes, instead he adored it, you could just see the happiness and excitement on his face every time that doorbell rang *g*. It's one of my most cherished memories of him.

Haven't done a Funny Friday in a while. Fridays are my hardest work days out of the week, so I usually come home and pass out on the sofa without even a glance at the laptop. Today wasn't too bad a day, though, and I don't find myself as tired as I usually am \o/ I was in the moon for a few good laughs and found some funnies I thought I'd share with you.

Wasn't going to post anything today because I'm not really feeling in a funny kinda mood. Slept like crap last night, nightmares kept waking me up. But a good friend pointed me in the direction of comedian Demitri Martin. This guy is very funny, exactly my type of comedy!! I laughed so much I had tears in my eyes and now I feel a little better because of it. Guess laughter is the best medicine after all *g*, as are good friends... thank you Christian for the rec! *smooches you*

DUCKS IN HEAVEN

Three women die together in an accident and go to heaven.

When they get there, St. Peter says, "We only have one rule here in heaven: Don't step on the ducks!"

So they enter heaven, and sure enough, there are ducks all over the place. It's almost impossible not to step on a duck, and although they try their best to avoid them, the first woman accidentally steps on one.

Along comes St. Peter with the ugliest man she ever saw. St. Peter chains them together and says, "Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this ugly man."

The next day, the second woman steps accidentally on a duck and once again along comes St. Peter, who doesn't miss a thing. With him is another extremely ugly man. He chains them together with the same admonishment as for the first woman.

The third woman has observed all this and, not wanting to be chained for all eternity to an ugly man, is very, VERY careful where she steps.

She manages to go months without stepping on any ducks, but one day St.Peter comes up to her
with the most handsome man she has ever laid eyes on... very tall, long eyelashes, muscular.



St. Peter chains them together without saying a word.

The happy woman says to the gorgeous man, "I wonder what I did to deserve being chained to you for all of eternity?"

The man says, "I don't know about you, but I stepped on a duck."
