Music Monday
Aug. 16th, 2010 02:28 pmI could not do this week's music and not rec one of Adam Lambert's songs *grins*. This is his newest single/video release off his album. It's called If I Had You and it was so awesome to hear this one live at the concert. I really like the beat, it's great for dancing, or car seat bouncing *hehe*, oh, and I want his hat! *g*
If I Had You by Adam Lambert
I'm throwing another Adam song in here because... well, I'm still on an Adam high *g*. This song just makes me *feel*, can't really explain it more than that. The haunting quality of the sound and Adam's voice brings my emotions to the surface, and, yeah, the lyrics, pretty powerful stuff (well, they are for me).
Broken Open by Adam Lambert
Next rec is a jump into folk music. I got hooked on Seth Lakeman when
christianscott introduced me to him a few months ago and I've been a big fan ever since. I love the uniqueness of his voice and the pureness of the sound... and it doesn't hurt that he's pretty darn hot! *grins*. Here are two of my favourites:
Lady of the Sea by Seth Lakeman
Crimson Dawn by Seth Lakeman
This next group I just happened to stumble upon when I was looking at Seth Lakeman videos. I saw a link and clicked and was pleasantly surprised by what I heard because from the look of them, I expected heavy metal... uh, I was totally wrong *lol*. I've never heard of Gotthard, have no idea how long they've been around, but I like them a lot, it's good music.
Love Soul Matter by Gotthard
One Life, One Soul by Gotthard
A very pretty ballad, with beautiful words:
And Then Goodbye by Gotthard
